Beware Of Poor Quality Plastics!!
While we pride ourselves on the quality of our products, there are some who don’t share this approach.
Here at Plastic Warehouse we make it a point of pride to supply high quality products from reputable manufacturers such as PLEXIGLAS and SIMONA.
We aim to never offer a product which is inferior, or manufactured in a way that will cut corners to save on cost.
Unfortunately, there are a lot of alternate manufacturers for plastic products like ours (especially acrylic, polycarbonate, ACM and HDPE) and people choose to import those into the Australian market.
The problem with this, is that people end up purchasing these inferior products which don’t perform as expected or degrade quickly – costing more in the long run and giving plastics a bad name.
Sometimes you will see this for yourself elsewhere – a clear plastic sign that has turned yellow, or panels that have cracked in the sun – this shouldn’t be the case with good quality plastics that have been cut and installed correctly.
While some of these don’t apply to every plastic product, here are some questions to ask any supplier before purchasing:
- Is there a UV or outdoor use guarantee on the product?
- Is the product made from virgin raw materials, or does it contain recycled content? This is a common method of cost cutting, but affects quality and longevity.
- Do you have a data sheet for the product, showing technical specifications?
- Do you import from reputable manufacturers who avoid practices such as child labour?
